Two Musicians, One Heart For Storytelling…

Tom Mottershead and Jack Barclay are radio-featured singer-songwriters based in Brisbane who share a love for telling stories through music. The journey began when a friend from church asked Tom to write a song for his wedding as a surprise for his bride. The bride had no idea. When the song was played on the day and she realised the lyrics were telling their story, there were tears, knowing smiles and a feeling in the room that was hard to put into words. That moment stayed with Tom and became the beginning of writing songs that capture the emotion and meaning woven into each couple’s story.

Tom and Jack have been friends and collaborators for years, writing and playing music together long before TJ Custom Wedding Songs began. That shared musical history now shapes the songs they create for couples. Together they have written songs for dozens of weddings across Australia and beyond.
